Azizi Developments has achieved a significant milestone in the construction of Burj Azizi by completing the shoring work and piling for the automated car park. Upon its expected completion in 2028, this 725-meter skyscraper is set to become the world’s second tallest building, surpassed only by the Burj Khalifa.
Strategically located on Dubai’s prestigious Sheikh Zayed Road, Burj Azizi is a $1.5 billion mixed-use development comprising over 131 stories. The tower will feature luxury residences, a seven-star hotel, a vertical retail center, and entertainment spaces.
In July 2024, Azizi Developments appointed International Foundation Group (IFG), a specialist in deep foundation and ground solutions, to undertake piling, shoring, excavation, and dewatering works for both the skyscraper and its automated car park.
The project is a realization of the long-held vision of Azizi Developments’ Founder and Chairman, Mirwais Azizi. Burj Azizi is poised to set new benchmarks in luxury living and hospitality, further enhancing Dubai’s iconic skyline.
The tower is designed to include several world-record-breaking features, such as the highest hotel lobby (level 111), nightclub (level 126), hotel room (level 118), and observation deck (level 130). Additionally, it will house an ultra-luxury mall featuring high-end fashion brands. Residential units will range from one- to three-bedroom apartments to ultra-luxury penthouses. For every 20 floors of residences, a dedicated amenity floor is planned, consisting of swimming pools with sauna and steam room, a fully-fitted gym and yoga center, a spa, a games room, a business center, a kids’ play area, a cinema, a restaurant and coffee shop, and a supermarket.
The luxury apartments will be topped by ultra-luxury penthouses, ranging from one- to five-bedroom units and enjoying exclusive access to all amenities. Separate lobbies will serve the residences and the penthouse units. Higher up, an all-suite seven-star hotel will offer themed restaurants and a luxury ballroom. An Emirati restaurant and beach club are also planned.
At the pinnacle of Burj Azizi, a dedicated museum will chronicle the tower’s development journey, showcasing the building’s evolution and the individuals involved in its development through multimedia exhibits, including photos, videos, and graphics.
